TWB PARTNERS - ITALIAN SUPPLIERS COLLABORATE ON SPA PROJECT IN ANGOLA

The founder of TWB Partners, Marco Treggiari, worked with interior designers CaberlonCaroppi on the Chimuco Wellness Centre

TWB Partners, an Italian consulting network specialised in providing investors in sub-Saharan African hotels with leisure facilities, is working on a turn-key spa solution for the Angolan hospitality firm Chicoil Group.

There are six hotels under the Chicoil Group’s Chik Chik Hotels brand and a seventh one is being built in a diamond mining area in the small city of Saurimo.

The Chik Chik Saurimo hotel is being developed and directly managed by Chicoil and is located within a large real estate development that includes offices, residential buildings and a leisure complex. The hotel has 124 bedrooms and the total investment is in the range of US$50m (€44m, £33m), according to the founder of TWB Partners, Marco Treggiari. The spa is called Chimuco Wellness Centre.

Treggiari spoke exclusively to Spa Opportunities to reveal information about the hotel’s spa suppliers. “TWB Partners invited the top Italian players to be a part of this project, including CaberlonCaroppi – which worked on the interior design,” he said.

“Star Pool has been brought in to create the wet areas of the spa, such as the sauna, steamroom and thermal zones. Comfort Zone will provide the skincare and other accessories for the massage areas.”

The lighting in the facility is by Artemide, bespoke furniture is by Ber Arredamenti and Studio Pleiadi is working on the marketing of the spa. The fitness equipment is supplied by Technogym.

As a result of this collaboration in Angola, TWB Partners will be involved in future projects with CaberlonCaroppi in other African countries.
